Frequently Asked Questions - E-mail Setup

We no longer provide email accounts for new customers. You may wish to use GoDaddy or Google's Gmail as your email provider. GoDaddy has 24/7 support and can manage your e-mail and configuration concerns.

For our grandfathered customers, we make sure the POP3 email accounts are working through Horde Webmail by sending and receiving test email messages for each account. Configuring your personal computers and smart phones is your responsibility. We recommend that you retain a PC Specialist / Network Specialist to help, or use a company like Best Buy's Geek Squad to assist with local email configuration. The items below are for informational purposes only, and should not be a substitute for the expertise of your local PC Specialist / Network Specialist.

If you have done troubleshooting and are still having problems with e-mail, even though Horde Webmail is working on the server, then you may wish to use GoDaddy or Google's Gmail as your email provider. GoDaddy has 24/7 support and can manage your e-mail and configuration concerns.

Our goals is to provide you with the best in online marketing, which includes your website as part of the promotion and marketing mix. We do not need to host or manage your e-mail to provide the best in online marketing. — Thanks for understanding.

What is my e-mail address?

Depending on what your organization selected, your e-mail address can be either username@domain.com, firstname.lastname@domain.com, or some other alias. In this example domain.com represents your website name and to receive e-mail at that address, set your e-mail reader (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or Outlook Express) to the following:

E-mail Setup Information Answer
Server (POP and SMTP) mail.domain.com - where domain.com represents your website name.
User name or Account name Your user name or account name such as bsmith, athomas, or jtpappas
Password The password assigned to you.

Any suggestions for setting up smart phones or tablets?

Use the same setup information that you would for regular desktop e-mail programs like Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. One difference — set the phone's e-mail to keep the mail on the server. That way your desktop computer's e-mail program will have all your e-mail.

Can I forward e-mail to another e-mail address?

Yes. You can forward the e-mail address to another one. Login using the instructions given to your organization.

Can I use webmail?

Yes. All e-mail addresses have a webmail account. Go to webmail.domain.com — where domain.com represents your website name. Login using your user name or account name, and follow the instructions given to your organization.

Do you have spam protection?

Yes. We have Spam Assassin on the server.

Why am I having trouble sending email?
